"By Rail & By Sea" - utterly unforgettable

Treat yourself to a day discovering Morlaix’s Bay and landscapes with our unique package à fer et à flots which includes sections by foot, by rail and by sea.

Starting from Morlaix, you’ll pass through winding steps and side-streets of Morlaix, called the town of three hills, and cross the imposing viaduct that spans the town.

Next, take a countryside train ride. On the horizon, you’ll spot Saint-Pol-de-Léon recognisable thanks to the Gothic spire of its cathedral and the majestic architecture of Kreisker Chapel.

Later, Roscoff reveals its charming ancient streets, the noble homes of long-gone ship owners and merchants who shaped the previous centuries of life in this town. Roscoff has been carefully preserved and maintained, so you can still trace its trade and activity, including fishing, Thalasso spa treatments, seaweed harvesting and of course the trade links with Britain…

The boat then takes you on a brief, enjoyable crossing to the Île de Batz. By foot or by bike, explore this fascinating and picturesque island that is both so close and so far removed; it offers stunning landscapes, authentic countryside, tranquillity and sandy beaches, not to mention plenty of refreshments!

After time for lunch, it’s all aboard for a trip threading through the islands of the Bird Reserve and all along the coast. The Château du Taureau, the île Noire, Pen Al Lan Point and the Barnénez Peninsula will all display their finest colours for you. Finally, you’ll return along the Morlaix river with its wooded banks, lined with elegant villas and impressive châteaux before returning to shore.
